2014

1/10/2014:  BROADWAY AT THE BING   The Bing Crosby Theater - Spokane, Washington  Friday Evening, January 10th, 2014  7:00pm

I am thrilled to return to Spokane for a concert evening of Broadway favorites.  Standing alongside me for this evening of song will be Jim Swoboda, the star of the Spokane Civic Theatre's SOLD-OUT production of Les Misérables.  More information and details of the concert evening will be found on CarouselConcerts.com
2/4/2014: MUSICAL THEATER MATINEE - Broadway Baritone  The Old Church - Downtown Portland, OR.  Tuesday, February 4th 1:30pm

Opening a New Concert Series at The Old Church: Musical Theater Matinee.  Songs from 'classic' Broadway and favorites from The American Songbook.  More information is available here: CarouselConcerts.com
February - June, 2014   Les Misérables  Arkansas Repertory Theater / Phoenix Theatre co-production

For Spring, 2014 I will return to both The Rep in Little Rock and The Phoenix Theatre in Arizona to lead their newly envisioned production of the classic story.  This year marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of my joining the Third National Tour (Marius Company) in 1989.  The show provided my Broadway debut in 1993 and was my entrée back into full-time performing after a stint in academia in 2008-2009.  Now, after seeing my former students take on starring roles, and having directed a version of the show, I am back for another spin.  As much to prove to myself that, as an actor, I have more questions to ask.  And to again tell a story through a role that demands everything I have ever mastered as an artist.
August, 2014:  I have been invited to again lead the cast of Leonard Bernstein's MASS in a staged production.  Details to be confirmed at a later date.  It is enough for me to say that I am both honored and thrilled to again join a production team who shares my passion for the work of an American Master.

Les Misérables - Spokane Civic Theatre  Opens September 20th, 2013 through October 20th, 2013 - SOLD-OUT RUN EXTENDED to OCTOBER 27th

I am honored to have been invited to lead the cast and crew of the Spokane Civic Theatre as stage director for their journey to the barricades.  An excellent cast has been assembled.  An inspired design and build team has produced an environment that serves the story with elegance and form.  And I am pleased to be joined by a production team who is unified in their support of the cast in the telling of this story.  It has been almost twenty-five years since I first climbed the barricades.  And the story is stronger for the retelling of it.  I told the cast that their opening night would not be the culmination of their preparation.  It would be the starting gate...

UPDATE: March 1st & 2nd, 2014, The Spokane Civic Theatre production of Les Misérables will be remounted in a co-production with The Spokane Symphony at The Fox Theater in Spokane.
